How to Play
The goal
Fill the 5×5 grid so that all five rows and all five columns spell real five-letter words. Locked, pre-filled letters cannot be changed — they are your anchors.
Controls
- A–Z — place a letter in the selected cell, then advance
- ←↑→↓ — move the selection
- Tab or Space — switch Across / Down
- ⌫ — clear the current cell
- Enter — check the whole grid
- Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y — undo / redo
- Tap a clue to jump to its word. Tap a letter in the bank to place it.
Scoring
Every puzzle starts at 1000 points. Mistakes cost 50, hints and reveals cost 40–250. A fast solve earns a time bonus up to 420. Auto Check validates letters instantly; turn it off for a harder, classic experience.
Modes
Daily gives one fresh grid per calendar day and feeds your streak. Random picks any grid at your chosen difficulty. Archive lets you replay all 24 grids and beat your personal bests.
